If we are lucky, we will live to retirement, and we will need to live off the returns of our investments. If we are smart, we have a plan and we put money aside for that purpose. We do this with the expectation that the money itself will grow providing the cushion for a comfortable retirement.

In August of 2011 Dr. Wet et al published the findings of their study in The Lancet, which showed a correlation of exercise with longer life. In summary the findings are: Put away 15 minutes per day and gain three years of life. A 40 year old starting today will net a 15.2% annualized return on time invested into their own health by the time he/she reaches 65.
